Modoc War The Modoc War The Modoc War, also known as the Lava Beds War, was an armed conflict between the Native American Modoc tribe and the Klamath, Modoc, and Snake (Yahooskin band) tribes signed a treaty in 1864, establishing the Klamath Reservation.
